All Doors Are Open

Recently I hit the down button of a parking garage elevator.  A few seconds later all five elevators appeared and the doors on each opened.  No one was on any of them.  I felt an ever-so-slight wave of fear.  So many choices!  Maybe there was a glitch in the system and it was unsafe to get on any of them.  Maybe there was something wrong with one of them and if I got on it, I'd get stuck.  How ridiculous, I realized.  Choose one and get on.

What a perfect metaphor for the life in front of me!

"ZEN"ing the Office (Video)

Creating an efficient and comfortable office space is essential. The quality of your work and life suffers when “something feels off.”

I had struggled with my work space too long and in one night, with the help of a feng shui-literate friend, it transformed. From corporate utilitarian to Zen-inspired haven, I reinvented my office space and, you can too.

A Zen Den

Easy for him to say; he lived in the 13th century.

But… is it really harder for us to find peace and enlightenment in 2010?
